The Mystery of the Gospel Revealed

“Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given to me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.” Ephesians 3:7-13

Paul, writing to the church in Ephesus speaks of how God has brought to light the mystery of the Gospel. He states that this plan, which was hidden for ages has now been revealed. And that God is using the Church to make the manifold wisdom of God known.

As we have been celebrating the incarnation of Jesus Christ this month, we rejoice that God’s plan for salvation was revealed. Let us also rejoice in the Church, the body of Christ, that God uses for His glory to reveal to the world this message of salvation and truth.

Remember that you have boldness in Christ. You have access to the Father with confidence because of what Christ has done.

Hope. Joy. Peace. Grace. Not just words but realities for all those who call upon the name of the Lord for salvation.
